Based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, Craig Rosenvall is the founder and previous owner of Alpha Warranty Services, a nationally-known insurance company specializing in automobile extended warranties. After owning several small businesses throughout his career, Craig set out to create a business that had the potential to go big. His research eventually led him to the insurance sector of financial services.
He began working with a small, third-party administrator in the insurance industry. However, the administrator began refusing to pay claims. Craig, moved to fulfill the promises he made to his clients, realized that he now had the opportunity and means to start his own insurance company.
With a financial loan from his son—who at the time was serving in the military in Afghanistan—Craig started his company in 2002, traveling from Salt Lake City to Idaho to conduct his business. Now, two decades later, Alpha Warranty Services is one of the largest players in the industry. With hard work and dedication, Craig was able to grow his one-man business into a thriving national company with over 200 employees, including remote national sales representatives.
Since the company’s inception, it has continuously received recognition as one of the best VSC providers in the industry. What’s more, in June of 2020, Alpha Warranty was honored to receive the title of Veteran-Owned Business of the Year, for the second year in a row, in the 18th Annual American Business Awards. The company has also been recognized by the Salt Lake City Tribune as one of the Top 100 places to work.
In 2015, Craig decided to step down and sell the company to his sons. However, despite the change in leadership, Alpha Warranty Services has worked under Craig Rosenvall’s principles of integrity, dependability, and the highest standards for customer service. Their value system has led to exponential growth, as well as incredible long-term partnerships with industry leaders.
An active man, Craig was not quite ready to slow down, and so he began pursuing real estate—an industry he had always been interested in. With the money he earned from selling Alpha Warranty Services, he began trying his hand at real estate development and investing. With strong business acumen and steadfast principles surrounding quality and dependability, the transition came easy for Craig. In just five years, he has built six luxury dream homes in Salt Lake City.
Outside of work, Craig Rosenvall is an accomplished hiker and mountain trail runner. Daily, he runs for three hours, passing by other hikers who stop to do a double-take at the grey-haired man flying past them. To date, he has successfully hiked across England coast to coast and through the Pennine Way; he has run the first 500 miles of the Appalachian Trail, starting at Springer Mountain in Georgia and ending in Virginia; and he has successfully submitted Mt. Elbrus in Russia, Africa’s Mt. Kilimanjaro, and Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina. In 2019, he attempted Everest.
